Antique Junk Drawer

First of all, bloodwork results.  The doctor’s office called Friday night at 5pm and reported that all the bloodwork came back normal — all the liver and pancreatic panels were just fine. Yay! But there is still a lot of sugar in his urine. While that is not nomal, it could be normal for him.  The doctor will chat up the specialists this week and then we will decide where to go from here.  We may need to make a visit to a nephrologist at some point. In the meantime, Sean seems to be feeling well and that puts my world back on it’s axis.

Second – Whut The Heck Izit photo contest will end sometime today and I will announce the “winner” of our fabulous prize-ish prize-like prize tomorrow morning.  I have no idea what the prize will be but it will include a one of a kind hand drawn work of art by Sean.

And third, if you haven’t been over to my design blog, Inspired Spaces, go check out my new look!  Today we are working on Jennifer’s combo living/dining room. She loves vivid color and needs some help pulling it all together and would love to hear your ideas.

  1. So great to hear the good news. I’ll continue to pray for Sean and for no future episodes, as well as for the doctors to have wisdom.

  2. As long as Sean seems to look and act normal, full of energy and little-boy wisdom, I wouldn’t let myself worry too much. sometimes we don’t get a definite answer or diagnosis. When Jeana was little, she spent a week in the hospital with a high fever, lethargic, no appetite, and the drs. never did find out why. They just gave her supportive treatment, and her body (with God’s blessing) healed itself.

  3. Praise God. I know this has been really hard for you.

The human body is such an amazing machine. Even though there is so much knowledge doctors have there is still so much they don’t know. That is why doctor’s “practice” medicine. Sometimes, there is no explanation for why the body does what it does.

I am also a believer in miracles and sometimes, that is the answer.

I love your new lay out on Inspired spaces.

  4. we’re continuing to keep ya’ll in our prayers! and i’m sooooo glad for your wonderful news! the human body is a marvelous thing…….maddening, but marvelous! LOL

  5. Great news! Thanks for the update! I am sure he is just too sweet. It would probably help if you stole some more “sugar” at his soccer games. 🙂 Tell Sean the doctor told you to.

  6. I’m seconding Kai. I think he’s just naturally sweet with no artificial flavors or coloring.

Yay God! We love You and praise You for a good report!

  7. THank goodness! You must be SO relieved.
And I am LOVING your design blog! I really will get some pictures of the bedroom I was complaining about off to you one of these days.

  8. Good deal! I’m so glad everything looks just fine! I’ll pray God continues to watch over you & your family and that you receive nothing but great news. Love to you & yours and God Bless

  9. I’m w/Kai & Shayne; he’s just naturally sweet! Can’t those doctors see that?

So glad things are looking normal, but also glad your doctor isn’t just leaving it at that. We are praying for some good answers for you in the future.

  10. I am so glad to hear the good news about Sean. I hope it turns out to be nothing. And now I have to go enter that contest – the chance to win a picture drawn by him was the deal closer.

  12. YAY! So glad (and relieved) to hear that everything is OK. I was thinking about you this morning as I stopped by my pediatrician’s office to pick up a vitamin prescription for my girls, hoping that things were working out for you and Sean.
