Y’all are so snarky! So many great responses to this question:
I couldn’t choose a winner, so I’m going to schluff it off on y’all.
But before we go there, a sidebar discussion on my winner-choosing “system”.
Angela left a comment saying, “Boo Mama uses some sort of random counter/thingy on her giveaways – maybe if you ask her, she could tell you how to do yours.”
If Boo Mama and I were ever to have a technical-internet type discussion it would go something like this: “Hey Sophie, you know that thingee, that does that whatever when you click on it?” And then she would say, “Yeah, no I just call someone. Do you want to hear what I found at Steinmarts? And then I’d squeal and we’d talk shoes. So there’s no point. I do know about the random number interger thingee, but until WordPress gives me numbered comments, ain’t gonna happen, at least not for a book.
Here are the top three comments that tickled my funny bone in the order they were submitted:
1) “How about a nice steaming cup of shut the heck up!!” ~ Cyndi (a line borrowed from somewhere, she told me but I forgot. I didn’t say it had to be original, just funny.)
2) “I’m coming. And I’m bringing hell with me.” ~ Big Mama (borrowed from the late great Wyatt Earp)
3) “If you want me now, I’ll be in the buff. If you prefer to see me clothed, I’ll see you in an hour.” ~ an original line from Happy Geek.
I’ll close the polls before I go to bed Thursday night and announce the winner soon thereafter.

actually boomama gave away her SIMPLE number generator secret (http://boomama.net/2008/08/19/hymned-again-winners/) and it works here, too. If you right click your mouse on your comments, click on print preview and your comments are numbered. Voila!
and I loved the snarkiness. too funny.

Just an FYI about random winners – I sent this info to BooMama awhile back – if you do a print preview of your post with the comments, all the comments will be numbered, making random EASY again… figured it out by accident during one of the bloggy giveaways. I right clicked here and right clicked there, here a click there a click, but never did see a print preview. You must understand – I am a natural blonde. You must speak verrrry slowly.
