    Photo Temporarily Unavailable

So then, yesterday Sean and I were at the zoo in the jungles of Malaysa swimming with a tiger and today we are heading out to the open seas on tall ships where we will join Sig in a little crab fishing.  Glory be my life is exciting.

Could it be Galveston, TX? They have a wonderful botanical garden there.

Looks like Galvaston Tx, they do have a great boating as well! Wherever it is have fun! I had fun in the ocean in California last week, Oh how I love the oceans!!

Judging by the color of the water, Looks like somewhere off the coast of California, in the Pacific Ocean; maybe around Pier 40, water temp about 62 degrees, with a light south westerly wind. That Dolphin swimming around about 4 ft. under the water looks like he wants to escort the sail boat out to sea.

I am guessing Galvaston. We were there last summer.
This summer we were on the water in Seattle and guess who we passed? The North American!
They had several folks on board out for a beuatiful day on the lakes.I barely got a quick pic and managed to wave and some folks waved back. Not sure who all was on board, but did not look like the crew. Looked like maybe someone had chartered it for the day?
Hope you and Sean are making good memories!

I am wondering who took the picture of you and Sean. I know that Gigi has a special affinity for San Diego, so that is my guess.

I’m 99% sure you’re in San Diego. We lived there for almost 10 years, and I recognize the coastline behind the ship. So that would mean you were at the World Famous San Diego Zoo yesterday, and you’re down at the harbor sailing the tall ships (around Point Loma maybe?) today.

So jealous my heart could burst. San Diego is one of my favorite places on earth. If the cost of living wasn’t so incredibly wacky, we’d move back in a heartbeat.

Two things I’ll never go on vacation without again – my new REI hat as seen in the picture – totally love it for many reasons, not the least of which is it packs well and I only look somewhat dorky in it – and my not new Sketcher shoes, also seen in the picture. I’ve put about 100 miles (exaggeration) on those shoes in the past few days and my feet are no worse for the wear even being chased by tigers. Oh, and I wouldn’t go without my pint sized boyfriend either.

y’all are hilarious, but AM is the best. thanks for the entertainment.

the coast line looks too flat and undeveloped for san diego. more like the baja?

    21. Paulette says:

I came back to see if you were showing another picture and analyzed further on the first pic.
I see vague mountains and just comming from California last week it looks more like that region, because it does look like mountains to me.
Also in Galveston it is toooo hot to be wearing jeans on a boat!! The water looks bluer than Galveston as well. I am recanting and saying Somewhere in California, were you can see land and mountains, when out on a boat.

Wow, you guys are so cute. And beautiful. And seated upon the water, which looks undeniably salty and ocean-y. Therefore, I hate you.

I don’t know where you are. But by golly, I wish I was there too.

    24. diamond girl says:

A new REI hat and if REI is anything like Cabela’s Sporting Goods store then my guess is an REI store. That boat is very very clean. Even looks as if it has a bit of green carpeting, and a hand rail of sorts. No life jackets hmmm. Maybe a Grand Opening or a class of some kind. Hmmmm! This does require some thought.

    28. Kelly @ Wisdom Begun says:

Wow, that sure looks like fun! Haven’t a clue where you are, though!

      August 23rd, 2008 at 4:25 pm

    29. Mary says:

Yes, the water DOES look too blue for Galveston. ARE you in Seattle??
      Or California??
BTW, I found out why we saw the North American. There was a big festival on Lake Washington(August 3rd) and there was an online auction to host your own private party on the North American WITH a salmon bake to boot!!
Guess we saw the highest bidders! Wonder what that cost them???
I don’t like salmon( I know, sad, but true)( I’m a true Kansas girl…give me a juicy steak any day!) but the party sure sounds like fun!
      Hope your weekend is wonderful!

    30. Sue says:

I do not want to be jealous, as I know it is a sin to covet. You have mentioned before that you don’t have to worry about money at this point in your life. You are very blessed to be able to be in that position and also to be able to do these things with Sean. Most of us are struggling to pay our bills, and vacations are off-limits for now. If your husband is not along, I hope you will be able to gracefully encourage him to take a special trip with Sean. I am very blessed, and material wealth is relative. To some, I would seem so financially wealthy because I have a nice house, a car, and enough to eat. I’m glad you’re having fun with Sean.

BTW, I really am glad you’re having fun with Sean. Keep that up! I miss my “little guy” who went back to college.

Living in the SF Bay Area I can atest to the fact that you are not here. If you were here, any pictures anywhere near the coast would be cover in fog.

      I’m going w/somewhere in Texas.

I lurve the pix of him steering the boat. Too cute!

      August 24th, 2008 at 12:30 am

    33. Antique Mommy says:

Yes Sue, it is all relative. My cousin whom I’m visiting while on vacation just got back from India and the level of poverty that he describes there is nauseating.

Looks like a beautiful vacation. Glad you’re having such a good time!

    35. Sarah S. says:

I’m going with “not Texas” for my guess — because of the coastline with some elevation in it and the blue water. And, because of other comments, I will speculate somewhere California-ish. I’m all about the vague-ness!

And I would love more details re: the Skechers. 100 mile shoes are a treasure, indeed.

      August 24th, 2008 at 4:47 pm

    36. Diamond Girl says:

No new Clues, Hmmm. I’ll guess again, we are not limited on guesses are we? 100 Mile Shoes, shoes on water, walking on water.Hmm,I guess Lewisville Lake Little Elm, Texas. Some kind of illusion was filmed there.
Then again it could be any Carmen in Texas.
      Certainly does look exciting.
