The World’s Oldest Four-Year-Old

This is a picture of Cousin Tim, the world’s oldest four-year-old. The fact that he qualifies for AARP membership does not stop him from enjoying a homemade Slip N’ Slide. I really like that about him — that and the fact that he’s the original mangy varmint thug.

Tune in tomorrow for a guest post from Cousin Tim.

  1. Personally, I think that the homemade kind of Slip-n-Slide is best. The area for sliding isn’t so narrow and the material doesn’t rip on impact. Dishwashing liquid and a couple (or three) of plastic paint tarps in you’re in business. Don’t forget to inspect the yard for errant rocks, because…ow!

  2. He’s a good sport, isn’t he?
One of my oldest daughter’s friends – a ten year old from Russia – tipped me off to the dishwasher liquid and slip&slide combo. Brilliant!

  3. This is the kind of adult I plan on being… one who’s not afraid to slide on their belly across the lawn with all the kids!

  4. I tried that about five years ago with my nieces and nephew- and I could barely walk for the rest of the week! Way to go Cousin Tim- you are in much better shape than I am!

  5. I love the story behind “mangy varmint thug”. πŸ™‚ My brother-in-law calls his father an “oud zak”, which is Dutch for “old bag”. It warms the cockles of my heart, I tell you.

  6. A guest post? From Mangy Varmint Thug, the World’s Oldest 4-year-old? Really?

Or is that you yankin’ my chain?

  7. Why do you use dish soap??? And what if you don”t use it, what happens?
He looks like a fun person.so does the little guy.
