Sure, you know they make great products, but did you know that Lands’ End also controls the weather?
It’s true.
A few weeks ago, I got an email asking me if I wanted to try out their Women’s Weatherly Jacket and I said HECK YEAH! I think I can arrange that, let me check my schedule…
Well, yesterday morning, it was about 70 or so degrees, fairly warm. I took Sean to school and ran a few errands during which time a cold front came in. Brrrr! And what was waiting for me on my door step when I returned home? A Lands’ End Weatherly jacket! So I put it on and went outside and took it for a test-walk around the neighborhood.
Of course I love it. I haven’t met a Lands’ End product I don’t like yet, but I’m willing to keep trying. As a service to humanity, sort of like a shopping ministry.
Okay, so here’s the deal – it’s light weight, it’s stylish, has plenty of pockets including one for my iPod on the inside and it’s stylish. I love it.
If you really need to know the temperature rating or you just want to look at all the pretty colors it comes in you can see them all here.
Don’t I look great in my new Lands End Weatherly Jacket? Oh wait. That’s not me. But it could be. If I were taller. And skinnier. And had great hair. And were 20 15 years younger. But other than that, the resemblance is amazing.

I do need a new coat this winter. So for I’m still wearing my old Land’s End jacket that for some reason has a “bleach” mark on it. I have no idea what it could have gotten next too.
But until I can get a new one–it still keeps me warm.
That one looks like it might work and it comes in some very yummy colors!

You know Jeanne, that might be the down side to LE products – they never wear out so it’s hard to justify getting new. I really do love this jacket. It’s perfect for Texas winters.

I really wish I needed a jacket, because that garnet one was made for me.

I think you totally rock that jacket. The model could be your twin sister! Separated at birth, she was cyrogenically frozen…
So what colour is yours? It’s a really cute jacket. Too bad they don’t deliver to Morocco, because today it is COLD.

I got the orange. I’m one of the weird people who can wear orange and lime green. Plum, purple maroon, baby blue and that category of color makes me look sickly. ~ AM

Hands Down!!! Vivid PLUM!
Most people would consider a coat worn out if it had a bleach mark on the arm!
But not when you have 5 kids–one who outgrew her jacket. Maybe I’ll tell Grandpa to get her one of these for her birthday next month!

I’ve noticed how those models manage to look skinny even in bulky parkas – they must be positively EMACIATED.

I need a new winter coat and cannot find anything. Why? Beacause I have the shoulders of a linebacker and long arms too. I’m off to feed my measurements to the land’s end model and see if they might have the solution.

It snowed here yesterday. I’m still trying not to cry about it. SNOW. It was disgusting. I’m not even sure a new LE coat in vivid plum would make me feel better. Although I would have looked better when I took the kids to school today.

Because of you I started shopping at LE! First it was the bathing suit (which I am happy with) then shirts, pants! Now I am hooked.

I’d be happy to be the Lands End spokesmodel – They offer quality products that I like, I get to pass along freebies to my readers and occasionally get one for myself. I guess I could change my blog to a paid subscription instead. ~ Antique Mommy

Lands End is THE BEST! Our family has been ordering from them for, well, I can’t remember how long. My mom hands us the catalog and a pad of sticky notes at Thanksgiving and says, “Tell me what you want for Christmas.” It’s better than looking through the Sears Wish Book when we were little! I always pick a couple of their seamless turtlenecks and a fleece vest or gloves or something. And their customer service is excellent! I’m with you, AM. Lands End provides quality, quality and quality.

Oh, that looks just yummy! I’ve been eyeballing the Land’s End catalog that’s been sitting on my kitchen table for about a week. I love it, but I wish they had some patterns – something other than plain color after plain color. Plus most of them are for skiiers and stuff and I’m just popping in and out of the office ‘n stuff, but I do love them. They are the warmest, comfiest coats!
You’re lucky to get freebies like that – where do you sign up for stuff like that? ‘Cuz I’m so THERE! Have blog, will travel!

Good Lord, I haven’t bought something from Land’s End in ages. I do love the look of that coat. I’m a coat collector (sounds better than coataholic) and pretty picky about the bulk feel of the coat. That looks like it wouldn’t be too bad.

Nice coat!! I was very excited about the it since I need a new winter coat. Mine is 7 years old and is stained from me leaning across the car to brush off snow. My heart sank when I saw the temperature rating though… -5F is not low enough for a winter coat. It would make a nice Fall/Spring coat though!

Cute jacket!! and the new picture of you and Sean is great! Very cute!! Hey, I was in that cold front, too. In fact I watched it come through at the gas station. My friend was pumping gas then went in to pick up the receipt and the temp dropped about 5 degrees. Then we drove 15 minutes and the temp dropped 10 degrees! And of course, we left our jackets at home!!!!

The new pic is great. Thank you so much. Wasn’t really complaining, just struck me that way. I’m weird, I guess. But the new picture is so good (I think you only look about 30 in it), and I thought that was you in the coat. Could be your twin. Love your blog. Enjoy your new coat.

Similar to a sunscreen perfect for Minnesota in January, eh?
It snowed in MN today. It didn’t stick, but still. Snow. October 26. Think it could handle that?
